Hello and welcome to Tattoo Education Scandinavia.
We are an educational platform that provides knowledge and expertise regarding hygienic procedures to practitioners, health inspectors, schools, municipalities, and relevant authorities.
Our material is based on current legislation and recommendations in Sweden. However, it is also grounded in existing research, and we maintain close collaborations with other industries, research institutions, and organizations focused on improvement.
We are part of the European research community through ESTP, the European Society for Tattoo and Pigment Research, and our materials are continuously updated in line with the latest findings. TPE also collaborates with many industry organizations representing various hygienic procedures available on the market.
We work across several segments, aiming to create educational material that is easy to absorb and provides participants with tools that can be directly applied to their work models.
Our training also serves as the foundation for journeyman and master certifications within the Swedish tattoo industry.
TPE’s main purpose is to deliver knowledge where it is needed most — both to the inspectors who examine our environments and to the practitioners performing various hygienic procedures.
Our goal is to raise standards and protect both practitioners and end consumers.
TPE is now an international company, and our courses and presentations often reach beyond Sweden’s borders.
Over the past 15 years, we have developed a unique program and built bridges between practitioners and health inspectors, making a significant impact both in Sweden and abroad.
We regularly hold lectures throughout the Scandinavian region, Europe, and the USA.
Our ambition is quite simple:
That no one should be exposed to unnecessary risk during a procedure;
To raise awareness among practitioners about bloodborne diseases and cross-contamination;
And to simplify the inspection model for inspectors.
In 2018, TPE and our educational program were awarded the Swedish Hygiene Prize, presented annually by the Association for Health and Care.
The motivation: “Your progressive work to prevent bacterial resistance,”
— a topic that has consistently been the red thread throughout all our work.
